Blocked Toilet in Newtown
Sarah was mum to 2 year old Dylan. She loved being at home with him every day to personally provide a nurturing and loving environment for him to grow up in.
Every day came with a new set of challenges for Sarah but she enjoyed every minute of it. This morning Dylan was pretending to be an aeroplane and was enthusiastically zooming around the house with his small toy plane.
“How about we sit down and read your favourite book?” offered Sarah, in an attempt to redirect him to quieter activities.
Sarah returned to the lounge room to find Dylan sitting on the couch with his plane, waiting for his favourite book to be read to him. Dylan loved to point to each one and make the different animal sounds. After completing the story twice, Sarah decided that it was time for morning tea and headed to the kitchen to prepare a snack for them both. She then heard a faint flushing sound coming from down the hall. Dylan had recently discovered that he was tall enough to reach the buttons on the top of the toilet and was fascinated with pressing them. Sarah walked towards the bathroom and was just about to discourage him when she noticed water trickling towards her feet. She looked up and saw the toilet bowl was overflowing with water! “Oh no!” she yelled with fright. She had a blocked drain.
She turned around to see Dylan hiding behind the door in the next room and looking startled. “It’s ok darling, Mummy will get the leakign toilet fixed” said Sarah. Sarah was an avid internet user so logged straight onto a search engine to find a suitable Newtown plumber in her area (one who specialised in blocked drains).
She located one in Newtown that also worked in Annandale, Camperdown, Chippendale, Glebe, Stanmore, Petersham, Leichhardt, Lilyfield, Erskineville, St Peters, Marrickville and Enmore. This plumbing company looked like it provided everything she was looking for, so quickly dialled the number. She spoke to a friendly and helpful expert who agreed to come as soon as possible to look at the drain blockage. An hour later the plumber arrived to investigate the cause of the blocked toilet.
Half an hour later, the Newtown plumber emerged from the room with a toy plane in his hands. “I think this may have been the culprit of the toilet blockage” he said. He then went on to explain what needed to been done and the reasonable charge for the visit. Sarah was so glad that this was able to be fixed in such a short period of time she decided to get some tap washers replaced while the plumber was on site. She also thought it was a good idea to get a Temperature limiting valve put on the hot water service, just in case Dylan desided to give himself a bath. She would definitely recommend this plumber to all her friends and family, she thought.
